Samreen - the Classroom Assistant

Samreen: From Nowshera to Carrickfergus – Blending Compassion with Technology.

Meet Samreen, a Classroom Assistant living in Carrickfergus, originally from Nowshera, Pakistan. Thoughtful and quietly driven, she describes herself in two words: compassionate and motivated—qualities that shine through in both her teaching and her approach to life.

With a professional background in IT Support and Networking, Samreen possesses a unique, often overlooked, blend of skills: combining technical knowledge with empathetic, hands-on classroom support. Her ability to bridge these worlds—bringing digital know-how into an educational setting—makes her work both practical and deeply personal.

A pivotal moment in her journey was relocating from Pakistan to the UK—an experience that was both transformative and challenging. The move opened doors professionally and personally, allowing her to grow through cultural exchange, continued education, and meaningful work in diverse communities.

Adapting to a new country, with its unfamiliar job market and different social norms, was no small feat. But Samreen rose to the challenge—upskilling, earning qualifications , and learning new methods in both IT and education.

Her hope for the future? That Belfast continues to grow as an inclusive, diverse, and opportunity-rich city—one where people from all backgrounds are not just welcomed but supported to thrive.
